Hebrew 101 for Adults

March 18 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm CDT

Class Description: The primary goal of Adult Hebrew 101 is for students to be able to identify all the Hebrew letters and vowels, enabling them to decode Hebrew words.  In the class, we will take the time to lift up vocabulary and grammatical concepts that frequently appear in our Shabbat liturgy.   By the end of Adult Hebrew 101, students should develop familiarity and comfort with the Hebrew language and its connection to our prayers.

Meeting Dates and Time: The class will meet Monday evenings, in person, from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

Textbook: Students should purchase the book, Aleph Isn’t Tough: An Introduction to Hebrew for Adults, Book 1.

Study Partner and Regular Service Attendance: Students are encouraged to practice in between classes with a study partner, as well as regularly attend Shabbat services.   This will help supplement learning.

Schedule:  We are allotting about two weeks for each chapter in our book, but will take additional time if needed.
